What FET Viewer is
A place to read, edit and share timetables built in FET — without changing a single value FET produced.
FET Viewer opens the timetable you built in FET and turns it into something you can read on a screen, share with a link, print, and put on a display board. Your file stays your file: what you upload is what you get back.
What it does
Upload a .fet file and the whole project comes across — activities, teachers, subjects, rooms, student groups, days and periods, and the constraints that hold it together. From there you can filter the grid down to one teacher or one class, hand out a link that shows only what a particular person should see, print the week in the layout you want, put a live copy on your website or a hallway screen, and record day-to-day changes like a cover teacher or a room swap.
Two things help when the week stops being obvious. Ask where a lesson could go and you get every slot it could legally take, with the reason each of the others is blocked. Once the grid is full, the Insights view shows how the teaching load is spread and which rooms stand empty.
Before you hand a project back to FET to solve, a pre-flight check reads the constraints and tells you which ones cannot all be true at once — the impossible timetable found while you can still change it, rather than after a long run.
When you are finished, download the file again and open it in FET.
What it does not do
It does not build your timetable. FET Viewer never invents a placement, never moves a lesson on its own, and never decides that one arrangement is better than another. The solving stays in FET, where you already have the tools and the control for it.
What that buys you is trust in the round trip: because nothing here rewrites FET's decisions, the file you download carries the same values you uploaded. Anything you changed, you changed deliberately.
Who it is for
Whoever ends up holding the timetable — the person who builds it, and everyone who has to read it afterwards. The people reading it need nothing installed and no account: a link is enough, and it opens on a phone as readily as on a laptop.
The round-trip promise
A timetable you upload can be downloaded again and opened in FET. Values are carried through as they were written, including the parts of a project this interface does not surface — they travel with the file rather than being dropped on the way past.
Before a download is produced, the timetable is checked first. If something would make the file unusable in FET, you are told what and where instead of being handed a file that fails to open.
